From Madison, Ohio...

Dear Emma, Sebbie, & Lizzy (Or do you spell it Lizzie? Notice how I used an ampersand? 😊)

It was great having dinner with you on Wednesday! I hope you were able to go to sleep easily afterwards.

I promised to keep you updated about our trip. Yesterday we were at The Strong museum in Rochester... but you know all about that place. After the museum closed at 5 o’clock we started our drive west.

We stayed last night in Madison, Ohio. We woke up this morning to a fire alarm! It was 6:30 a.m. and I had been hoping to sleep until 7:30… I might need a nap this afternoon!

Because of the fire alarm we all had to walk outside in our pajamas; there were 100 people standing in the parking lot waiting for the fire trucks to arrive. We all had messy hair and were looking very tired.

I don’t think there was an actual fire because the fire fighters never put on all their gear. Maybe someone just burnt their toast. I’ll let you know if I find out what happened.

Here’s a picture of the fire truck. We sat in our car waiting for them. It’s a good thing Skye was with me; I forgot to bring the room key with us, but she remembered! We only had to wait outside for twenty minutes.

I hope you’re having a good day! We have six and a half hours of driving until we arrive at my uncle’s house in Chicago tonight.

I’ll write you again from there.

Chris
